“Génération précaire”, a video about the interns situation in France

Working on “Structurally recyclable, basically disposable” requires a lot of research, reading and viewing of material dedicated to the issue.

There is a very diversified amount of things to read and watch on the internet. Documentaries, discussions, or simply stories, vents written by interns.

One of the most interesting aspect of this problem is that it opens other areas of discussions, notably the issue of mobilization. If there is an agreement that internships as of now are very often a door open to abuse, interns do not per se have a say on the political agenda.

In France, the “collectif Génération précaire” has established itself as a discussion partner on the political arena, to foster improvements of the situation, mainly by lobbying for better laws to regulate internships. Their success has so far been very mixed, but still an important movement to keep an eye on.
