Dione orbits around Saturn from the same distance that the Moon orbits Earth. It is mostly covered by ice and has a heavily cratered surface.
This small vase is the fourth vase in the series 274 moons / 274 vases. Dione was made entirely by hand with porcelain and then glazed with one of my special lava glazes. The inside features a white matte glaze.
Dione is not perfectly round.
The vase was coiled by hand and fired up to 1240C.
The vase is functional and measures 11 cm in height and around 8 cm in diameter at its middle (largest) point.
All the glazes are formulated and made by me.
