Epimetheus is an irregular moon orbiting Saturn together with sister moon Janus, although it is possible that they used to be one moon in the past. It is cratered by ancient craters that have rather smooth edges, due to dust.

This small vase is the eleventh vase in the series 274 moons / 274 vases. Epimetheus was made entirely by hand with porcelain. I glazed it with my white matte glaze and then applied a special manganese-iron oxide which runs in rivulets accentuating the vase's shape. The inside features a white matte glaze.

Epimetheus is not perfectly round.

The vase was coiled by hand and fired up to 1240C.

The vase is functional and measures 12 cm in height and around 9,5 cm in diameter at its middle (largest) point.

All the glazes are formulated and made by me.

Certificate of authenticity will be provided. You can read the entry diary for the making of this vase here
