Moon landscape - Handbuilt vase

A unique hand-built vase inspired by the moon's landscape. The piece is built entirely by hand with a grey stoneware clay. It is elongated as you can see from the photos. Once it survived the first firing at 960C, I glazed with my lava glaze and my white matte glaze. 

Another two days in the kiln, reaching 1240C, and the minerals in the glaze melted and fused with the clay to create this unique beauty. 

The vase is functional and measures 24 cm in length, 15cm in height and around 12cm in depth.

All the glazes are formulated and made by me.
