Atlas - Vase XV

Atlas is an irregular moon named after Atlas of Greek mythology. 

This small vase is the fifteenth vase in the series 274 moons / 274 vases. Atlas was made entirely by hand with a groggy dark stoneware clay. I glazed with my white and lava glaze and applied a copper wash and an erbium slip.

Atlas is not perfectly round. 

The vase was coiled by hand and fired up to 1240C. 

The vase is functional and measures 11 cm in height and around  8 cm in diameter at its middle (largest) point. 

All the glazes are formulated and made by me.
