Calypso - Vase XIV

Calypso is a small moon trailing Tethys together with Telesto. It has a very reflective surface, with lots of craters. 

This small vase is the fourteenth vase in the series 274 moons / 274 vases. Calypso was made entirely by hand with a groggy grey stoneware clay. I glazed with my icy blue glaze and then applied an oxide. 

Calypso is not perfectly round. 

The vase was coiled by hand and fired up to 1240C. 

The vase is functional and measures 11,5 cm in height and around 8cm in diameter at its middle (largest) point. 

All the glazes are formulated and made by me.
