Harvest Moon Cup

The harvest moon will appear on September 26th 2026. It will rise shortly after sunset and for a few days will keep rising at around the same time. The name harvest moon comes from the fact that the shining light from the moon aided the late summer harvest. It is the first full moon after the autumnal equinox, which in the northern hemisphere marks the beginning of autumn. 

I hand-pinched 4 stackable footed cups, from the same amount of clay each, but still creating unique pieces that call back to our fascination with our closest satellite. 

There are 4 available and you will receive one. There is some variation among them but they measure around 7 cm in height and 10 cm in diameter. 

The outside features my lava glaze and a few other of my glazes, in a swirl of color that is captivating and dynamic.  The inside is glazed with my matte white glaze. 

It is handmade so it is not a perfect round object. 

All my pieces are handmade by me in my Berlin studio. They feature glazes I made and formulated. I recommend hand-washing this particular cup.
