Kiviuq is part of the Inuit moons and it is an irregular satellite. Its orbit is such that it will eventually collide with Phoebe.
This small vase is the twenty-fourth vase in the series 274 moons / 274 vases. Kiviuq was made entirely by hand with a groggy light blue terrazzo stoneware clay. I glazed it with my white matte glaze inside. The outside is left unglazed though I have applied some porcelain slip.
Kiviuq is not perfectly round.
The vase was coiled by hand and fired up to 1240C.
The vase is functional and measures 11 cm in height and around 8 cm in diameter at its middle (largest) point.
All the glazes are formulated and made by me.
Certificate of authenticity will be provided.
