Rhea is the Saturn's second largest moon and is very similar to Dione. It is mostly covered in ice.
This small vase is the fifth vase in the series 274 moons / 274 vases. Rhea was made entirely by hand with porcelain and then glazed with one of my special lava glazes. I then brushed a thin layer of cobalt wash. The inside features a white matte glaze.
Rhea is not perfectly round.
The vase was coiled by hand and fired up to 1240C.
The vase is functional and measures 11 cm in height and around 8 cm in diameter at its middle (largest) point.
All the glazes are formulated and made by me.
Certificate of authenticity will be provided. You can read the entry diary for the making of this vase here.
