Tarvos is one of the moons named after Gallic myths. It is an irregular satellite of Saturn.
This small vase is the twenty-first vase in the series 274 moons / 274 vases. Tarvos was made entirely by hand with a groggy dark stoneware clay. I glazed with my white and lava glaze and applied a copper wash.
Tarvos is not perfectly round.
The vase was coiled by hand and fired up to 1240C.
The vase is functional and measures 12 cm in height and around 8 cm in diameter at its middle (largest) point.
All the glazes are formulated and made by me.
Certificate of authenticity will be provided.
